Dragon's Dogma 2 is a pretty unique game in that it's strictly single player, as you won't run into anyone on your travels, but it has lots of multiplayer elements thanks to the Pawn system. You'll come across various user-created Pawns during your time with Dragon's Dogma 2, which can be recruited and brought along for their combat prowess, healing abilities, or stylish threads.
You can also send out your Pawn to other people, and if they send your Pawn away satisfied with their service, other players can include gifts that your Pawn will bring back for you as thanks. Most of the time, these gifts will either come in the form of something actually useful, or will be a bit of rubbish that was cluttering a person's inventory, but Dragon's Dogma 2 players have sniffed out an opportunity for some good old-fashioned trolling.
I Already Miss My Favourite Dragon's Dogma 2 Pawns
Fern and Miki, I love you in every universe.Towards the south of Vermund, you'll come across a town called Checkpoint Rest Area, in which there are several stores and services that you can use on your way into Battahl. One of these services is a forger who will duplicate various items for a modest fee, though the forged item will not have the same benefits. For example, if you were to forge a Wakestone, you couldn't use it to bring anyone back to life.

One such player on the receiving end of these shenanigans is Twitter user Demolicious , who has an inventory stuffed with Seeder's Tokens and is begging people to stop sending forged items.
If you're now wondering if you've been sent a forged item too, there is one very easy way to tell them apart. While they look identical to their genuine counterparts, forged items will have slightly different names to the real things. For example, a forged Portcrystal is called a Partcrystal, while a forged Wakestone is unfortunately called a Wokestone. Sure, you can't stop people sending you gifts, but with this knowledge, at least you can at least easily spot if you're being duped.
In other Dragon's Dogma 2 news, not only have people recently found out that you can gift others forged items, but some people have found out that you can actually hitch a ride on the back of the Sphinx for a quick and easy way to get into Battahl. Who needs border permits when you can fly over to Battahl in style?
